Downloading
Some of our Acrobat files are quite large,
up to 1.5 MB in size.
Files of this size can take 10 minutes or more to download,
depending on the speed of your Internet connection.
If you click on a link to an Acrobat file (using an ordinary left click) the browser will open a new window for the file, but the window remains blank with no progress indicator until the entire file has been downloaded. This can be frustrating because you have very little idea whether the download is proceeding successfully or not. If you find yourself staring at a blank browser window wondering where your file has got to, try the optimal method described in the next paragraph.
The optimal method for downloading Acrobat files is to right click the link to the file and choose "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As..." Select a folder to save the file in, and click the "Save" button. A progress indicator will be displayed, so you can see exactly how the download is progressing. You can continue to use your browser while the file is downloading. When the file download is complete, open the file by locating it in the folder where you saved it and double-clicking its icon.
Printing
Our documents are designed to print correctly whether you use US Letter or A4 size paper.
You do not need to select
"fit to page" when you print. If printing a star wheel
make sure that "fit to page" is not
selected, because if it is selected it may cause problems with mis-matched sizes.
If you are having problems with things not fitting on the page, please check that
your printer is correctly set up for the size of paper you are actually using.
Our Star Wheel designs come in a choice of Tabliod/A3 format or Letter/A4 format. Choose the appropriate format depending on the capabilities of your printer. There are detailed instructions on how to use these two formats here.
Acrobat Reader
You need the Adobe Acrobat reader to open and print Acrobat documents.
For documents on our web site, the mimimum requirement is Acrobat Reader version 4.0.

from Adobe.
If you are having trouble downloading, saving or printing Adobe Acrobat documents, or trouble installing the Acrobat Reader, there is detailed help available from Acrobat Reader Support.
Sometimes problems with printing Acrobat documents can be resolved by restarting your computer.
We have had some reports of difficulties opening and printing our Acrobat files with non-Adobe software. If you are using non-Adobe software and strike problems please let us know. We are working to eliminate these problems, but for the time being you may have to install the Adobe Acrobat reader to access our files.
Zip Files
Some of our downloads are zip files. Unzip them by double-clicking
the downloaded file. If this doesn't work you will need to install
